Scheduled
On Tuesday, June 19th, 2018 at 12:00 EDT, we will migrate some x1.small.x86 server infrastructure in our HKG1 (Hong Kong) edge datacenter to a new cabinet and data hall. This work is being done in anticipation of electrical and facilities work in the datacenter, which would result in a longer outage if the servers are not migrated. Servers will be without power for approximately (2) hours during this window, though we have reserved a larger event window to allow for any additional work needed to restore services.

We will proactively disable Global BGP sessions approximately (10) minutes in advance of the work, allowing traffic to gracefully fail over to your infrastructure in other Packet datacenters within the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, server provisions will be suspended throughout our HKG1 and HKG2 datacenter locations during the event.

If you'd like to get a specific list of the servers of yours that will be impacted, feel free to reach out to us at help@packet.net or live chat from our customer portal (https://app.packet.net) with any questions.

Thanks,
Team @Packet
